US to launch campaign against Cuba at the United Nations.

The U.S. Department of State issued a press release on October 12, announcing the Government’s intention to use the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Chamber at the United Nations Headquarters to hold an event aimed at launching the Campaign “Jailed for What?” this Tuesday, October 16, on what they call the plight of Cuba’s political prisoners.

Using the name and premises of the United Nations for attacking one of its Member States is in contravention of the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and International Law, and of the Organization’s regulations for holding meetings.

The event against Cuba, part of a politically defamatory campaign on the island and its government, is another aggression on the sovereignty and self-determination of the Cuban people.

The United Nations should not allow that human rights be manipulated by its most powerful member against another Member State, given that the United States Government lacks moral authority to judge any state, including Cuba, while President Trump’s administration drives an agenda based on racist, xenophobic and supremacist ideas.

I wish President Trump understands that Americans with health problems might benefit  just as well from Cuba’s progress in pharmaceutical industry, if he only changed his policies that serve the racist white minority.

Mercurio Biotec, LLC, an emerging American Biotech company closely allied with the Arizona Center for Accelerated Biomedical Innovation at the University of Arizona, has signed agreements with the Cuban company Heber Biotec S.A. The agreements encompass aspects necessary for (eventual) commercialization of the diabetic foot ulcer medication Heberprot-P in the United States, subject to approval by the Federal Drug Administration.

Marco Rubio Says He Won’t ‘Destroy Our Economy’ For Climate Change.

Once more, Sen. Marco Rubio shows his incompetence as leader and representative of his community in Florida, at a time when his voters suffer the consequences of Hurricane Michael.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) acknowledged Sunday that the planet is heating up, but he stopped short of saying that global warming is caused by man.

Appearing on the CNN program “State of the Union,” Rubio’s comments came just after a new report from the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said that time is running out to take action on climate change. He appeared on the show to talk about how Florida is dealing with the devastation left by Hurricane Michael last week, one of the strongest hurricanes to ever hit the United States. Scientists have said that global warming would produce more and stronger hurricanes.

Host Jake Tapper asked Rubio if he believed that climate change was caused at least in part by man.
